Donation Information
We ask clients to donate what they can comfortably afford within the suggested ranges, based on their earnings and income. Every donation helps us to provide low cost counselling, maintain our practice building, and keep our service running. Your contribution makes a real difference.
Donations can be made using our card machines in the office on the day of your session or via a secure payment link sent to your phone and email. We also accept cash.
Our payment system is securely managed by take payments.
Contact us today by email or on 020 8616 2160 to arrange a confidential initial assessment session.
Self-Referrals & Exclusion Criteria
We welcome self-referrals from anyone seeking support. However, there are certain situations where Care To Listen may not be the most appropriate service. Please read the criteria below before booking an initial assessment.
At present, we are unable to offer counselling if you:
-
Are experiencing a serious mental health crisis that requires secondary care (e.g. psychosis)
-
Have made a suicide attempt within the past 6 months
-
Are using alcohol, drugs, or other substances that would prevent you from engaging with counselling
-
Are currently receiving or require specialist support for an eating disorder
-
Have a current diagnosis of a personality disorder
-
Are currently training to be a counsellor
-
Are based outside the UK
-
Require home visits
If any of the above apply, it may be unlikely we can offer you counselling but we are happy to discuss this with you if you contact us.
Please note: Care To Listen delivers counselling sessions through both trainee and qualified counsellors.
