Meet the Management Team
EVE STEPHENSON
FINANCE DIRECTOR
Eve is a co-founder of Care To Listen and a qualified counsellor. . Eve qualified as a counsellor at Bromley College in 2007 and holds a Higher National Diploma in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy. Eve gained BACP accreditation in 2010. She is retired from the daily running of Care To Listen but still works with us in a Financial capacity with an invested view on how we operate and grow within our community.
SHARON THOMAS
CLINICAL SERVICE DIRECTOR
Sharon is a co-founder of Care To Listen and Clinical Service Director, responsible for overseeing all clinical matters and providing first-hand support to the large team of counsellors. Sharon is a qualified EMDR therapist and Supervisor, holds a Higher National Diploma in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy, and is BACP Accredited.
CLAIR WILCOX
CLINICAL TEAM LEADER
As Clinical Team Leader, Clair provides invaluable support to the counselling team and Lead Counsellors. Clair joined Care To Listen in 2015 and was previously a Lead Counsellor with us before becoming Clinical Team Leader. Clair qualified at Spurgeon’s College with a CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling and gained BACP Accreditation in 2018. She is also a qualified Supervisor.
VANESSA ONYUKU-OPUKIRI
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME MANAGER
As Educational Programme Manger, Vanessa is responsible for the development of Care To Listen School of Counselling. Vanessa has been with Care To Listen since 2013 and has progressed through the organisation to her current role. She is a very experienced and highly skilled BACP accredited counsellor who also works as one of our group supervisors. Vanessa graduated from Greenwich University with a MSc in Therapeutic counselling in 2015
NICOLA COOPER
HUMAN RESOURCES AND OPERATIONS MANAGER
Nicola joined us in 2020 to provide invaluable Human Resources and Operations services having previously worked in Executive creative roles. She wanted to learn more about mental health and how it impacts us all. She advises and manages Care To Listen’s recruitment processes, employee relations and our busy placement programme as well as working on Operation services for our practice.
Lead Counsellors
We have a small cohort of qualified lead counsellors, providing daily support for the wider team.
COUNSELLORS
We have a large team of counsellors who bring many different skills to our service. They are at various stages of their training or are qualified and have been recruited from leading colleges and universities. We have both male and female counsellors, from many different backgrounds and ethnicities.
Our qualified counsellors are working towards additional qualifications and accreditation.
Our counsellors are selected for their caring and professional approach as well as their commitment to providing a high quality, low- cost counselling service for all.

Care To Listen is an organisational member of the BACP and are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions
